A.      To focus upon the difference between words and phrases,

First day, list words that describe the insects,

Second day, list phrases that describe the insects,

Third day, sort the describing phrases into 3 groups by:

How They Move, How They Sound, and Where They Are.

These tasks can be accomplished as cooperative learning structures, a guided reading group task or a whole class task, or any combination of these, depending upon the students and time available.
