(Buhler), Marion County (Hillsboro), North Newton, and Dickinson County

Chautauqua County (Boston), Pottawatomie, Anderson, Franklin, and Jewell
Counties.
- French colony
is established in Silkville(Franklin County) and Cloud County (1860) .
- Norwegian –
Republic County (1869)
- Italians came
to settle in Crawford County (Arma, Bruce, Mulberry, Pittsburg,
Litchfield) and Cherokee County (Stilson/Scammon, Wier City, West
Mineral).
- Bohemian/Czech towns
established in Ellsworth, Marion, & Rawlins (Prag) Counties.
- Austrian –
Brown (1877 – 81)
- African-Americans
settled in Nicodemus.
- Spanish-speaking Mexicans
settled around various Railroad company towns.
- In the
1920s, large numbers of Arabs
settle in Wichita.
