4 Points	The journal entries filled out correctly and the student responded to the reflective questions correctly.
3 Points	Most of the journal entries filled out correctly and the student responded to all of the reflective questions correctly.
2 Points	Most of the journal entries filled out correctly, but some of the student responses do not answer the reflective question.
1 Point	The journal is not filled out and the questions are not answered.
Perspective Statements:
4 Points	The student successfully completed all parts of the Immigrant Truck Activity. Wrote at least three perspective statements.
3 Points	The student successfully completed all parts of the Immigrant Truck Activity. Wrote at least two perspective statements.
2 Points	The student successfully completed all parts of the Immigrant Truck Activity. Wrote at least one perspective statement.
1 Point	The student successfully completed all parts of the Immigrant Truck Activity. Did not write any perspective statements.
Settler Diagram:
4 Points	Student correctly drew and labeled all parts in a diagram. Included various extra details. Titled diagram. Used correct social studies vocabulary.
