Formatting Page Numbers

On the pull down menus, click on View

Header and Footer

go to the third graphic from the left (it’ll say format page number when you pass over it)

click okay (it’s set on 1,2,3 by default)

flush right (do NOT tab to the right)

type your last name and hit space bar once

click on the first graphic from the left (it’ll say insert page #)

click close

To Omit Page Numbers on Page One Only

When done with the above, go to pull down menus & click on File

Page Set-up

go to the third tab, Layout

to the second part of that tab, Headers & Footers

click in the box that says Different First Page, the checkmark will show up

click okay

it will take pg. # off of page one, but it will show on the following pages
