End of 9 Weeks Wake-Up Calls |
||
|
·
Near the end of the quarter the teacher
puts in the actual points the student has earned thus far. ·
This is done so the student &
parent(s) really see how not getting the minimum of 10 points can affect
one’s grade in the class. It is referred to as a WAKE-UP CALL to get the
points! ·
The teacher always notifies the
office when this looks like it affects procedure effects eligibility. o For
example, is Sammy didn’t have 10 points, but had only 5, that would lower his
average by 5 percentage points. If he sat at a 65% then subtracting 5 points
would make him have a D, thus being ineligible. In reality however, he still
has the full quarter to get his points, so the teacher emails the office with
a list. It would say something like this… ·
The following students have C’s,
not D’s as it looks in PowerSchool ·
Sammy Smith ·
