·        The students will identify different groups of people who were called to KS during the territorial disputes due to popular sovereignty

·        The students will explain the importance of John Brown and analyze his actions from different points of view.

·        The students will identify the acts of violence that caused KS to earn the historical name of “Bleeding Kansas”
