Course Description:
This
course is designed to resemble the research and development labs that many
manufacturing companies operate to design, construct, and market new
products. Students will work
individually and on teams to design and construct a prototype of a product
that would be useful in today’s society.
Effort will be made to market products designed by students. |

|
As a result of their
participation in this course, students will:

Recognize the necessity
and effectiveness of the team in the workplace.

Identify and use the
design process in the development of a product.

Use computer software,
drafting equipment, metalworking equipment, or wood- working equipment
in constructing a product.

skills.

Communicate effectively
