Checking Links

 

Check your links before you put the pages on the Internet to be sure they work and that the pages look okay.  Sometimes a page will look perfect in Word but it will not appear the same in Internet Explorer.  It is also a good idea to check your pages from a dial-up Internet account to see how fast they load.

 

To Check the Links:

  Open Internet Explorer

  File Þ Open

  Click Browse

  Click the drop down arrow beside the Look In: box and locate your home page

  Click on home.html and click Open

  Click OK

  If you need to edit the file, open it in Word, make the changes and save

  Go back to Internet Explorer and click the Refresh button to reload the edited page

  Check all links on all pages to be sure they work correctly
