Creating a Web Page with Word 2000

*  Collect Internet Graphics

*  Save graphics that you want to use on your web page.  It is a good idea to save them to floppy disk or to a folder on your hard drive called Trash

*  Create a new folder on your hard drive called WebPage

*  Create Individual Web Pages

*  Plan your web pages

*  Open a new Word document

*  Create a table

*  Insert your text in the table 

*  Insert your graphics

*  Citing your graphics

*  Save your page   File Þ Save As Web Page Þ xxxx.html   Keep it short.  Be sure that all pages are saved into the WebPage folder.

*  Repeat until all your pages are complete

*  Creating your home.html page

*  Open a new Word document

*  Type the text you want to appear as the links

*  Create links

*  Save your page   File Þ Save As Web Page Þ home.html    Be sure it is saved into the Web Page folder

You can also use the WebPage wizard in Microsoft Word.

     *  File Þ New

     *  Select the Web Page tab

     *  Double click the Web Page Wizard

 

*  Check your links

*  Ftp the files to the Web Server

*  Open Internet Explorer and check your web page

*  http://horizon.hit.net/~rsoash/

*  Set your home page on Internet Explorer to your page (see Tools)
