Creating a Web Page with Word 2000
Collect
Internet Graphics
Save graphics that you want to use
on your web page. It is a good idea to save
them to floppy disk or to a folder on your hard drive called Trash
Create
a new folder on your hard drive called WebPage
Create Individual Web Pages
Open a new Word document
Insert your text in the
table
Save your page File Þ
Save As Web Page Þ
xxxx.html Keep it short. Be sure that all pages are saved into the
WebPage folder.
Repeat
until all your pages are complete
Creating
your home.html page
Open a new Word document
Type the text you want to
appear as the links
Save your page File Þ
Save As Web Page Þ
home.html Be sure it is saved into
the Web Page folder
You
can also use the WebPage wizard in Microsoft Word.
File Þ New
Select the Web Page tab
Double click the Web Page Wizard
Ftp
the files to the Web Server
Open
Internet Explorer and check your web page
http://horizon.hit.net/~rsoash/
Set your home
page on Internet Explorer to your page (see Tools)
