Selecting & Setting Wireless Access Points

· Start · Settings · Control Panel · Select Switch to Classic View if it isn’t already selected · Select Network Connections · Right click on Wireless Network Connections To Repair a Connection: · Left click on Repair · Left click on View Available Wireless Networks · Click Change Advanced Settings · Select Wireless Networks If you want to see available networks, select View Wireless Networks: · Click View Wireless Networks
If you need to insert a wireless/security key: · Click on the network icon with the circle at the top of the tower · Click Properties
· Hit the drop down arrow beside Network Authentication · Select Shared · Hit the drop down arrow beside Data encryption · Select WEP · Type in the network key · Retype it in the Confirm box · Be sure the box at the bottom marked The key is provided for me automatically is unchecked. · Click OK If you cannot access the wireless network, sometimes it helps to restart the computer.
