To Create a Internet Hot List
- Open a
new Word document
- Enter
a title if desired
- Create
a table with two columns
- Enter
the name / description of the site in the left column
- Open
Internet Explorer
- Locate
the site you wish to add to the list
- Click
in the Address line to highlight the URL
- Edit
Þ
Copy or use Ctrl C to copy
- Return
to the Word document
- Click
in the right hand column
- Edit
Þ
Paste or use Ctrl V to paste
- Hit Enter
- Repeat
for the other sites
- When
finished, File Þ
Save a Web page
- Save
the file to the network on Chs3 in the Shared Items folder
and then Students folder.
Save it with your last name, hour and date (soash7-0904 7th hour for September
4). All students should be able to
access these files.
Using the Hot List

Have students open Internet Explorer
·
File Þ
Open or Ctrl O
·
Browse
·
Students need to go to Chs3 in the Shared
Items folder and then Students folder. They can then click on your file and click Open. You could map
this as a drive to save time.

Click OK
·
Student can now click on the hyperlinks to access the
sites.
