·                    File and then click on one of the most recent documents at the bottom 

 

 

·                    Start  Þ  Documents and select the recent document

 


Saving a Document

 

·        Click the Save icon  

·        File Þ Save and then select the appropriate location with the Save in drop down arrow.  It is a good idea to save everything into a folder named for yourself.

 

 

·        File Þ Save As and then select the appropriate location with the Save in drop down arrow. 

 

 

 

 

 

Selecting a Document File Format

 

At the bottom of the Save or Save As window, you can select file formats with the Save as type drop down arrow:

 

·        Word Document (*.doc) – a standard Word document

·        Web Page (*.htm, *.html) – a web page in HTML format

·        Rich Text Format (*.rtf) – a generic format that retains most common formatting

·        Text Only (*.txt) – a generic format that retains little formatting
