You have just been hired as a museum curator for the Souder Museum. Your job is to preserve the history and describe the development of the city of Cheney, Kansas. You need to create web pages that include three related artifacts photographed at the museum. Then research the time period and the artifacts, explaining their use and their impact on the development of the city. These pages will be combined into a virtual museum of the city.

Your web pages should be accurate, well-designed and thorough.

Using the history of Cheney resources from the school media center and Cheney Public Library, study the development of the city.
Brainstorm (using Kagan Round Robin) changes that have occurred.
Students explain the development of the Cheney community by creating a timeline.
Cheney Day activities:
-Dress in clothes from different stages of Cheney's development and demonstrate an activity from that era that someone living in Cheney might have done. (Ex. 1920-Flapper Dance, 1930-cooking with lard, 1950-Put hair in Pony Tails)
