How to Animate a Power Point Presentation

  • Go to Slide Show

  • Then Custom Animation

  • Once the Custom Animation box is up click on the object that you want to add animation to.

  • Click on Add Effect at the top of the Custom Animation box.

  • Choose the Type of Animation that you want, such as Entrance, Emphasis, Exit, or just a Motion Path.

  • For just a simple animation, such as an Entrance, Emphasis, or Exit just pick around at the different ones until you find what you want

  • If you want to use a more complicated Motion Path, put the curser over the Motion Paths tab.

  • Several options pop up. The simplest of them are numbered one to six. If those are not the ones you want there are more options at the bottom.

  • In Draw Custom Path you can make your own path with different styles of lines.

  • Under More Motion Paths you can choose from more animation paths. In the Add Motion Path dialog box you can scroll and just explore the different animations until you find the one you want.

  • Once you click on the animation, it will run. To view it you might have to move the dialog box out of the way.
