Principal's Hot Line/ Student of the Week

Typically a call from the Principal means bad news.  We at CMS are trying to change this perception with a program called the Principal's Hot Line or Student of the Week.  Each week the teachers select one boy and one girl from their grade level and communicate that information to me.  In addition to the student's name, they share with me reasons that this student is deserving of the honor.  On Friday afternoons, I call the parents of those students and share the good news!  I also call the students in and congratulate them along with presenting them with a certificate and a pencil.  New this year—we also take the student’s pictures and display them for the week on a bulletin board in the hall.
